What To Order In A Mexican Restaurant

If you tend to order the same items every time you visit a restaurant, you are really missing out! Some south of the border style eateries only offer the basics so if your local restaurant only has fajitas, tacos, quesadillas and burritos you would probably be better off finding a more traditional establishment or cooking your own authentic Mexican food recipes at home.

This cuisine blends the exotic with the simple, the spicy with the mild, and the nutritious with the flavorful. Millions of people love this exciting cuisine and you can find Mexican restaurants all over the globe, although they vary hugely in quality and authenticity.

You might find traditional dishes on the menu or it might be food which has been tailored to suit the western palate. A lot of the local food is very spicy, which is why some establishments tone down the piquant flavors. It is still worth trying some of the spicy dishes though, if your taste buds can bear it, just for the experience.

Because many people are unaware of the difference between Tex-Mex food and Mexican food (and in fact between junk food and traditional dishes), this cuisine is widely misunderstood. So what exactly should you hope to find on a good menu and what should you order?
Some Tasty Ideas

The menu will probably be based on meat, chicken, fish, and vegetarian dishes. There might also be soups and salads. Burritos feature on most Mexican restaurant menus and this meat, bean and vegetable mixture is tasty. You can order a fajita burrito if you want green bell pepper and onion instead of beans or a burrito bowl if you do not want a tortilla.

Try a side of pico de gallo if you like salsa. This is like a chunky salsa recipe and it is typically Mexican. You can usually get sour cream, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheese at no extra cost at Mexican eateries.

If you are familiar with burritos, fajitas and the usual dishes people order, why not try something different? Look out for chicken or turkey in mole sauce. Mole sauce is a mouthwatering savory chocolate sauce with a typical south of the border flavor.

Maybe you fancy a typical stew or soup recipe or even a layered salad. Trying new meals means you might stumble upon something amazing that you otherwise would not have found. You can ask the server for his or her recommendations and you might find out this way about some of the more unusual meals that you can choose from.

Secret Menu Items

Did you know that a lot of Latin restaurants in New York have "secret" items which are not listed on the menus? These are available by request and they are mainly to distinguish regular visitors from tourists.

These secret items might be special salads or taco fillings or they might be different sauces from what is listed on the menu. It is worth becoming a regular, once you find a good restaurant, so you can try different authentic Mexican food recipes each time you visit.

There is something for everyone with Mexican recipes because this cuisine is so varied. Eating out can be expensive though so the best way to sample plenty of delicious authentic Mexican recipes is to make your own at home.

Where's the Beef? - It's in the Recipe For Wendy's Hamburgers - So What's the Secret?

The real question in everyone's mind isn't "where's the beef?"; it's what is the recipe for Wendy's hamburgers? Well, until recently, I could tell you the answer to "where's the beef," and I could tell you that if you make a square burger that you "don't believe in cutting corners," and I could probably tell you every theory on why Wendy's burgers are square. What I couldn't tell you was the recipe for the delicious burgers.

Wendy's burgers have long been a favorite in my family. I ate one for the first time, because my sons wanted to try the square burger. They were saying, "oh boy, this is cool looking;" and I was saying, "boy, does this taste good." Of course, I immediately wanted the ingredients. I had three young boys who were about ready to go threw a growth spirt, so I needed to make affordable meals that they liked at home, more now then ever. I knew I could manage to make a cool looking, square burger, but I wanted it to taste just as good, too.

Need I say, it became a tradition to go to Wendy's, but I never got my hands on that recipe. My sons are now engaged to be married, so I figure grandchildren are next. This little revelation gave me cause to think back to those days when that unique burger from a favorite fast food restaurant could make the day special. That's when I decided it was time to search for the recipe on the internet to see if it could be found. After all, I could still make them for my growing family. Amazingly enough, after all these years, I found the recipe for Wendy's hamburgers, and countless other recipes I never thought I could find, all in one recipe book. One book - hundreds of sought after recipes.

The best part of finding this recipe book is still to come, because as days pass, should some of these famous, wonderful, recipes be lost over time, my family will always have access to them and their flavorful memories.

How would you like to recreate the most famous popular recipes at home? This famous cookbook exposes all of the most famous and most delicious secret recipes on the planet including restaurants such as Wendy's. Don't waste your time like I did!

Secrets to Famous Restaurant Recipes

Using the right quantities and combinations of herbs is one of the secrets to recreate some of the famous restaurant recipes. Chefs all across use different type of herbs to add unique flavor profile to their secret recipes. I will show you some of these herbs and explain how they could be used successfully.

Basil one of my favorites to use in soups or sauces through out the cooking process, it's a sweet delicate herb that when used fresh can brown easily, so make sure to include it in at the end of the cooking.

Rosemary's flavor is unmistakable, it's woody and its strong aroma can easily overpower a dish, make sure you use it sparingly and it goes well with basil at the start of cooking, you can throw the entire stem in soups or remove the stem and crush them with salt, pepper and olive oil and rub them on a roast. One great way to use it is to add it to your steak while pan searing it.

Dill is a sweet herb that can give you a light flavor to any famous restaurant recipe, take fish for example, finely chopping the dill to sprinkle on top of a salmon with lemon juice and baking it in the oven is a very simple recipe that highlights the dill and gives your fish the feeling of that secret recipe.

Ginger is a bit spicy with excellent healing powers to help reduce inflammation, used in cooking could easily overpower a dish, so use lightly. Fresh herbs are essential to add different layer of flavors and enhancing your dishes to make any average cook look like a chef. Using different combination and quantities of these herbs like top chefs due in their famous restaurant recipes is very easy to do and any one can learn.

Types of Chinese Recipes

When you come to Chinese recipes, there are different types of recipes. We all have our favorite dishes but all restaurants may not be using the same recipes for it.

When you try to make it the thing will cause you a lot of problems therefore you might have to try many times to get it the way you want it to be. If you want to get the best recipes then you have to spend some extra money for a cookbook which is being hand down through family lines.

Chinese recipes standard types are rice, noodles, meats, seafood and vegetable. These recipes might be from different parts of the china for example your Lo Mein don't taste that good as it does in the Shanghai.

In china food matters a lot and every region of it has its own taste and recipes. Good restaurants incorporate with the different regions in china so that they can provide the real taste of the food for which it is famous.

As people in the Northern part of the china use wheat and noodles and people in southern region use rice and rice flour in their recipes. As china is a large country therefore it has different climate in north and in south which also affect the recipes.

Chinese recipes use different types of recipes which make them really tasty and more appealing. The most famous Chinese spicy dish is Kung Pao. Usually used with shrimp or chicken and it is made up of pepper sauce and we can adjust the level of heat as we want to.

All Chinese recipes have something in common are usually the rice, noodles and meat and vegetable in them excluding the region or spicy factor from it. There are some exceptions such as soups and pancakes which are really famous Chinese foods and are great recipes that one should try.

The Secret to Cooking Restaurant Recipes at Home

There is no question about it, everyone loves to eat out. But eating in restaurants can be expensive. But enjoying your favorite restaurant recipes doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. Why not whip up your favorite restaurant recipes right in your own kitchen?

The beauty of making restaurant recipes at home is that typically you can make them healthier, cheaper, and if you know what you're doing, even better than the real thing. Now the down side of course is that it will take a little more time and energy than simply sliding in to the booth at the local Olive Garden, but in the end both your pocket book and your family will thank you for it.

The secret to cooking copycat recipes at home and having them turn out right is two fold. It basically comes down to ingredients and equipment. To illustrate the point, one very famous restaurant recipe that people often try and cook at home is the secret KFC chicken recipe. If you've ever tried this than you probably found your self saying, "now this is good, but it sure doesn't taste like Kentucky Fried Chicken." This recipe is one of the most common requests I get from my restaurant recipe newsletter and it is one that people have the most problems with. But as mentioned above, the reason most people get this recipe wrong is because of improper ingredients and equipment.

For example, KFC chicken is cooked in a pressure cooker. This is a simple but huge difference. You could take an actual piece of battered KFC chicken and throw it in your fry pan or deep fryer and you would get something completely different.

The other secret to cooking restaurant recipes is ingredients. Let's just face it, many chain restaurants make food that is loaded with preservatives and ingredients that you don't often find in the grocery store. They may not be healthy but often they taste good. This is where you need to make a personal choice as to whether or not you want to modify the recipe and loose some of the traditional taste but improve its health, or seek out the guar gums, MSG, and poly-saturated fats and include them in your recipe.

The only other obstacle to making great restaurant recipes at home is actually finding a good copy of your favorite Top Secret Restaurant Recipe.

Transform Your Cooking Skills by Serving Famous Restaurant Recipes Every Day

To begin, stop wasting your valuable time and losing your patience on surfing the net for ideas on what to cook. This gets you nowhere fast, except frustrated.

It is important to keep it simple and once you have access to one collection, which consists of hundreds of tried and tested, easy to follow popular recipes, stick with that and begin working your way forward, one recipe at a time. This will save you a lot of money and no more wasted time.

Popular recipes that are everyone's favorites are a safe bet and are guaranteed to please. This will make your effort at cooking them pleasurable too, instead of being a chore, because you will know in advance what you're making is already popular and therefore, is going to be well received and a success.

A collection of popular recipes that offer pictures, plus tips and tricks, is usually the best source, because pictures and tips and tricks means these recipes have already been tried and tested.

Making a popular, favorite recipe at home is also cheap. More often than not, people would rather stay at home instead of spending money on rising fuel costs to go out to dine at a restaurant. By preparing new, popular and taste-tempting recipes at home, not only will you save money, but you can also begin your transformation from how you currently cook into becoming a home chef, when using a reliable collection of famous restaurant recipes to assist you.

Experience counts a lot when it comes to cooking, so relying on recipes that have already become popular in famous restaurants after being tried and tested over and over again on the public means you won't fail when you make them.

Don't forget to try out something different now and then to expand your culinary skills. If the recipes are from a collection of famous restaurants, even though you may not particularly like the taste of something, it may still be worth trying out a recipe with this food or ingredient anyway, because if the recipe is already well-liked by the majority, there will be a reason for it's popularity that you may also uncover. So try it!

A great step in transforming yourself into a good cook where you become appreciated and respected by friends and family members for the scrumptious meals you prepare, is to print the recipes and write notes on them for how you think you might improve upon the recipe the next time you make it. Write down your own personal experiences and try to improve upon the recipe with your own ideas and taste preferences. There is always the chance of improving a recipe as nothing is ever perfect and it is good to constantly expand your recipe base and cooking skills. As they say: "practice makes perfect".

Another tip that so many home cooks forget to do, is if you don't have a family to cook for, don't confuse yourself with trying to divide portions down to just one serve. Still cook the recipe for the number of people the recipe is for, then when the meal is ready, simply divide it into the number of portions stated, enjoy one for yourself and then freeze the other portions for future meals. That makes delicious meals to look forward to in the near future, rather than wasting your money on fast food or restaurant meals for one.

We recommend you personally try to become a chef in your own comfortable home. Cooking in the comfort and relaxation of your own kitchen is far more satisfying and esteem building than dining in a fast food or take-away outlet, and is a lot more rewarding both in terms of saved money, as well as in the sense of self-achievement than dining in a restaurant. Also, at home you can invite all your friends and dine with those you care about and love, who will reciprocate in appreciation of the effort you have put in to serving up tantalizing and sensational famous restaurant recipes.

Why waste money on fast food outlets or restaurant meals, when you can prepare restaurant quality recipes in the comfort of your own home. This Dining Guide brings you hundreds and hundreds of deliciously famous restaurant recipes from 38 famous restaurants that you can enjoy with your friends and loved ones.

Don't miss your chance to grab this extensive collection of famous restaurant recipes, all in the one dining guide. Homemade Dog Food Recipes - How Home Cooking Can Benefit Your Dog

You surely prefer to have a home cooked meal made with fresh ingredients rather than a burger from the fast food restaurant next door. The same is equally true for your dog. Your furry friends loves to eat fresh and health food that has been cooked on the spot. You can readily find a lot of homemade dog food recipes that can be prepared easily and quickly. These meals are times batter than the canned ones. They are extremely beneficial for your pet in a number of ways.

Next time you buy canned or packed dog food you should check the best before date. It is surely at least a couple of months ahead of the time in which you purchase the product. In order for the ingredients to be preserved for that long the food should contain all sorts of additives. These are not as harmless as you might think. It is true that these chemical compounds cannot affect your dog's health now, but as they pile up in its bodily organs they can become dangerous. There is now such risk if you use homemade dog food recipes to prepare meals for your pet. Quite the opposite, you can use all sorts of healthy and organic ingredients.

Another problem with the ready products available on the market is that they usually contain soy, grains and even corn. These ingredients are not good for your furry friend. They can cause allergies and digestive tract problems. These are also responsible for the formation of teeth calculus, which is extremely harmful for dogs. Your pooch will not have these problems when you prepare food that does not contain such ingredients. It will be healthy and happy as long as you use some simple homemade dog food recipes to prepare nutritional meals full of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

Sugar-Free Recipes: Cheddar and Olive Balls | Submitted By: M. Hammond

18 1/2 ounces extra sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded1/2 cup butter, softened1/2 teaspoon paprika1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour45 pitted green olivesAllow cheese to sit out until it is at room temperature.
