Secret Restaurant Recipes Reviewed

Being a big restaurant food fan, I had gone to a restaurant a few weeks backs and happened to try a new dish there. It was just out of the world! I had never eaten anything so delicious. I came home and decided to try making it the next day. Even after spending hours in the kitchen and taking care of adding just the right quantity of every ingredient, I still ended up with something that was not only awful in appearance but also in taste. All my effort ended up in the dustbin! Frankly, this wasn't the first time it had happened with me. I could never end up cooking the food with the restaurant aroma and flavour. I knew that I needed to know the secret ingredients and the special ingredients to make the exact replica. It was then that I got to know of the website Secret Restaurant Recipes.

There are many websites online that list the various tempting recipes but the problem with these sites is that they charge a handsome subscription fees to access the wide database. This is where the website Secret Restaurant Recipes bags the trophy as it does not require any kind of fees. The way this site works is by the way of a forum where people discuss their dishes and also get the recipes that want to try at home. This recipe database is updated regularly so the one can keep trying new recipes.

Secret Restaurant Recipes also offers a daily newsletter 'Daily dish'. People wanting to learn new recipes can subscribe and learn new recipes everyday and that too completely free of cost. These recipes include variety of cakes, bread, chicken, meat, turkey and vegetables. These recipes are emailed to the subscribers on a daily basis. One can also access the blog in this website. Again, people from all over the world write in this blog. RSS News Feed has also been enabled on this blog to ensure that all subscribers are informed timely of any new recipes or replies to any queries posted on the website The website also advertises a gift shop where one can buy kitchen products such as coffee mugs, aprons, chef hats as well as t-shirts but there is no kind of obligation on the subscribers.

Though there are many recipes listed on the website Secret Restaurant Recipes, if one still needs to try something completely different and exotic, one can always go ahead and buy the cookbook offered by this website. This book contains the mouth-watering recipes from your favourite restaurants such as KFC, Red Lobster, Chillies, The Cheesecake Factory and the Olive Garden. Just imagine all those amazing treats right on your dining table. I should mention again at this point that buying this cook book is completely optional. The unlimited, lifetime access to these recipes is given to those subscribers who buy this cookbook. In addition, a book of secret sauces is also offered to the subscribers, free of cost, in addition to the cookbook. In fact, there are other bonus gifts to be added to this list which include various other guides- guide to master the art of grilling; guide to tasty food for diabetics; guide to make American comfort food; guide to recipes for special occasions and a special cookbook with great recipes for the kids. I must say, a great deal!

Most of these recipes are tried and tested. I, personally have my house running on these recipes. My guests think that I actually order food from outside. I could not get a better compliment than this and I just smile back!

I added chopped sun-dried tomatoes, a little of their oil, let it cool on plastic wrap, rolled it, tossed it in the fridge for a while then sliced it, fried it and used it with the morrocan chicken recipe from this site. Next time, I'll try parm & basil and put a nice red sauce over it. Thanks so much, this has added a nice starch to my side dish recipes and staples. Was this review helpful? [ YES ]

The reviewer gave this recipe 5 stars. This recipe averages a 4.7 star rating. Reviewed on Oct. 27, 2007 by SUNIDE   view full review Another Cook off winner to add to this recipe. I doctored it a bit too: I used the jar of Salsa verde, extra green chili's, fire roasted diced tomatoes, LOTS of cumin, and some chili powder as well. I heated the spices in the oil before adding both cubed and ground chicken. I used the ground chicken for texture - more traditional chili style, and added a touch a cream. MMmmmm. Thanks to other reviews, I was ready with the corn starch to thicken it up so it wasn't as soupy. I would like to say I loved it - but, by time I made my way back to the table to have some, it was GONE. I don't think it lasted 15 minutes!! I WILL cook this again, I would like to have more than just a sample spoon full... Was this review helpful? [ YES ]

This recipe averages a 4.7 star rating. Reviewed on May 16, 2007 by ARYQA   view full review I could not find canned tomatillos, so I used a jar of salsa verde instead, as suggested by other reviewers. Also, I did not have any chicken already cooked, so I used cubed raw chicken and allowed the chicken, broth, tomato, green chiles, & spices mixture to simmer until the chicken was tender. This made a nice hearty chili - not much broth. Since I prefer it thinner, I added another can of broth and doubled the spices at the end, but the taste was great before I made those alterations. Loved the chili. I will note that I was unsure of the addition of the salsa verde, so I waited until the recipe called for the addition of the corn/beans until I added it. Tasted before and after and I really think the salsa made this recipe. The flavor was excellent prior to the addition, but had no "kick." Might only rate 4 stars as written since I think the canned tomatillos are probably not as flavorful as the salsa verde, but since my grocery doesn't carry them... Thanks for the recipe! The reviewer gave this recipe 3 stars. This recipe averages a 4.3 star rating. I think this is a good recipe, but even though I like all the ingredients, I did not care for the salad. I chose to reduce the oil to 1/3 cup, & used rice vinegar in place of white wine vinegar because that is what I had on hand. I would increase the amount of vinegar & lemon juice combined, to equal the amount of oil. I would recommend reducing the amount of thyme by half, especially if marinating overnight/leftovers, unless you really like a strong thyme flavor. When baking the beets I also recommend standing them on the stem end to bake, because I found it difficult to peel them & see where the peel was, when baked on whatever surface landed on the pan. This may be due to using larger beets which had to bake longer. I'm disappointed that I didn't like the finished salad better than I did. Was this review helpful? [ YES ]

Transform Your Cooking Skills by Serving Famous Restaurant Recipes Every Day

To begin, stop wasting your valuable time and losing your patience on surfing the net for ideas on what to cook. This gets you nowhere fast, except frustrated.

It is important to keep it simple and once you have access to one collection, which consists of hundreds of tried and tested, easy to follow popular recipes, stick with that and begin working your way forward, one recipe at a time. This will save you a lot of money and no more wasted time.

Popular recipes that are everyone's favorites are a safe bet and are guaranteed to please. This will make your effort at cooking them pleasurable too, instead of being a chore, because you will know in advance what you're making is already popular and therefore, is going to be well received and a success.

A collection of popular recipes that offer pictures, plus tips and tricks, is usually the best source, because pictures and tips and tricks means these recipes have already been tried and tested.

Making a popular, favorite recipe at home is also cheap. More often than not, people would rather stay at home instead of spending money on rising fuel costs to go out to dine at a restaurant. By preparing new, popular and taste-tempting recipes at home, not only will you save money, but you can also begin your transformation from how you currently cook into becoming a home chef, when using a reliable collection of famous restaurant recipes to assist you.

Experience counts a lot when it comes to cooking, so relying on recipes that have already become popular in famous restaurants after being tried and tested over and over again on the public means you won't fail when you make them.

Don't forget to try out something different now and then to expand your culinary skills. If the recipes are from a collection of famous restaurants, even though you may not particularly like the taste of something, it may still be worth trying out a recipe with this food or ingredient anyway, because if the recipe is already well-liked by the majority, there will be a reason for it's popularity that you may also uncover. So try it!

A great step in transforming yourself into a good cook where you become appreciated and respected by friends and family members for the scrumptious meals you prepare, is to print the recipes and write notes on them for how you think you might improve upon the recipe the next time you make it. Write down your own personal experiences and try to improve upon the recipe with your own ideas and taste preferences. There is always the chance of improving a recipe as nothing is ever perfect and it is good to constantly expand your recipe base and cooking skills. As they say: "practice makes perfect".

Another tip that so many home cooks forget to do, is if you don't have a family to cook for, don't confuse yourself with trying to divide portions down to just one serve. Still cook the recipe for the number of people the recipe is for, then when the meal is ready, simply divide it into the number of portions stated, enjoy one for yourself and then freeze the other portions for future meals. That makes delicious meals to look forward to in the near future, rather than wasting your money on fast food or restaurant meals for one.

We recommend you personally try to become a chef in your own comfortable home. Cooking in the comfort and relaxation of your own kitchen is far more satisfying and esteem building than dining in a fast food or take-away outlet, and is a lot more rewarding both in terms of saved money, as well as in the sense of self-achievement than dining in a restaurant. Also, at home you can invite all your friends and dine with those you care about and love, who will reciprocate in appreciation of the effort you have put in to serving up tantalizing and sensational famous restaurant recipes.

Why waste money on fast food outlets or restaurant meals, when you can prepare restaurant quality recipes in the comfort of your own home. This Dining Guide brings you hundreds and hundreds of deliciously famous restaurant recipes from 38 famous restaurants that you can enjoy with your friends and loved ones.

Don't miss your chance to grab this extensive collection of famous restaurant recipes, all in the one dining guide. Soul Food Recipes - Why Soul Food Gets Healthier

Soul food recipes have turned from health danger to healthier dining, thanks to better ingredients and updated cooking techniques. The tasty southern meals your grandmother or great-grandmother fixed with love and caring may bring back fond memories, but they may have been the best for your health. The comfort southern food has traditionally brought is legendary. But a high price has been paid by those who were tempted to over indulge. For example, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other ailments related to diet.

Many soul food recipes have traditionally included high amounts of fats, salt and other artery clogging ingredients. For example, fat-back, ham hocks, butter were staples in most southern cooking of the past. In addition to the unhealthy ingredients, most of the cooking techniques have proven to cause a loss of valuable vitamins and nutrients in the cooking process.

In response to the growing demand for healthier alternatives, the recipes continue to adjust to a more health conscious consumer. The changes have worked to revitalize the popularity of southern food to the masses again. Medical professions have taken notice of these changes and give them a thumbs up in most cases as long as their not over consumed and a proper program of exercise is taken up.

The new changes for soul food recipes include healthier cooking methods. For example, stir-frying instead of boiling in larger amounts of water , which helps to maintain valuable nutrients and vitamins. Another change cooking change is baking or roasting meats instead of deep fat frying. This one action can reduce cholesterol levels up to 30-40% in the average adult when combined with a proper exercise program.

Many southern recipes are now incorporating more leafy green vegetables, fresh fruits and leaner meats in menus to meet the demands for healthier menus. Many soul food restaurants are including these changes in their menus and receiving rave reviews and compliments from critics and more importantly from customers. The biggest concerns by many critics with all these changes is how will they taste. With the proper seasonings, marinades and herbs, the natural flavors of soul food continue to please consumers. The trick is proper cooking techniques and seasoning that brings out the flavor and not drown it out.

As more consumers continue to request and demand healthier eating that taste good too, no doubt soul food recipes will continue to find ways to meet the demand. Many cooks continue to test new recipes with healthier ingredients that maintains the integrity and taste of your southern food favorites. Stay tuned for healthier changes.
